Super Selfish & Silly Superheroes

I created this game to teach my 6-year-old to add and subtract quickly. A superhero-themed game that requires easy math and uno like player vs player interaction that we have a lot of fun with.

Super "Silly & Selfish" Heroes is a card game played in three phases: Setup Phase, Alert Phase, and Villain Battle Phase. The objective of the game is to earn points by defeating villains and defending against their attacks. The game is played over multiple rounds, and the player with the most points at the end of five rounds or the first player to reach 10 points wins.

During the Setup Phase, hero cards and villain cards are dealt to each player. Power-up cards are also distributed, and each player chooses one to keep while discarding the other.

In the Alert Phase, players reveal their power-up cards and resolve their effects in turn order. This is the wild phase where someone is sure to get their feelings hurt and their super powers crippled. Strategy is key here.

The Villain Battle Phase begins with the flipping of villain cards, revealing their capabilities. Players then place their hero cards face up on their hero mat. Any unresolved power-up cards are revealed and resolved. Super villain cards in the villain horde are also resolved.

To defend against the horde's attack, players compare the total attack points of the villains to their defense points. If the attack points exceed the defense points, the player's turn ends. If the attack points are equal to or less than the defense points, the player earns a point on their counter and gets to attack the villain horde.

When attacking the horde, if the player's attack points exceed the horde's defense points, the player earns another point on their counter. If the horde's defense points are greater than or equal to the player's attack points, their turn ends.

At the end of everyone's turn, all cards are discarded, and the decks are reshuffled for the next round. The game continues for five rounds, and the player with the most points at the end wins, or the player who reaches 10 points first.

Overall, Super "Silly & Selfish" Heroes is a fast-paced card game where players use their hero powers on both the villians and each other, eventually fight against villains, and strive to earn the most glory points through strategic gameplay.
